Courses offered by SAIT’s Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Studies have Course Drop, Transfer and Withdrawal request deadlines that are course-specific; they are based on the duration and delivery format of the course. Go to the My Enrolment History tab in your Continuing Education Student Account to see the various deadlines associated with the course(s) you're registered in. You're able to self-process the following course registration changes through your account; no forms are required for these requests. Course Drop (with Refund)
Up until the Course Drop request deadline, you can drop the course for a full tuition refund less a $50 administrative fee. Go to your My Enrolment History tab, select the course you want to drop, choose the Course Drop option from the dropdown menu and follow the prompts. Once your request is processed, you’ll immediately receive an email confirmation. Your refund will be returned within 24 hours to the credit card you used for the original purchase. If you’re passed the Course Drop request deadline, you won’t see the option to drop.
Course Transfer
Up until the Course Transfer request deadline, you can self-transfer from one section of a course to another, or transfer to a completely different course. Go to your My Enrolment History tab to select the Course Transfer option and follow the prompts. If the course you’re transferring to costs more, you’ll be prompted to pay the difference. If it is less, the difference will be returned within 24 hours to the credit card you used for the original purchase. Once your request is processed, you’ll immediately receive an email confirmation. If you’re passed the Course Transfer request deadline, you won’t see the option to transfer.
Course Withdrawal (no Refund)
If you decide that you cannot successfully complete a course on time, consider officially withdrawing no later than the Course Withdrawal request deadline. This way you’ll get a “W” grade on your student record rather than an “F”. Go to your My Enrolment History, select the course you want to withdraw from, choose the Course Withdrawal option from the dropdown menu and follow the prompts. We’ll process your request within four days of its receipt and post a “W” grade to your student record. If you’re passed the Course Withdrawal request deadline, you won’t see the option to transfer.
Course Cancelled by SAIT
SAIT reserves the right to limit registration, cancel, postpone or combine courses, alter course content, dates or times, and substitute instructors. Full tuition refunds will be issued for cancelled courses.
