As of now (March 2021) for the spring and summer, only students whose labs must be delivered in an in-person environment and the faculty required to deliver programming. Faculty will only be on campus when delivering instruction and only for the time of lab/class. All other employees will remain working remotely. Student support services will continue to be offered and operated, remotely. The campus will continue in an essential service operation model and access to campus will still require approval for non-essential on-campus employees. Building access will be limited and monitored.
It is with great optimism that we are starting to prepare for our Fall 2021 term here at SAIT. It’s our hope, subject to ongoing positive shifts in community health indicators, that we’ll have more students on campus and see an increase in on-campus activities.
Progress on our decisions around Fall 2021 will be shared in regular communications. You can expect more detail in the coming weeks and months. Review sait.ca/covid19 for the most current updates.
SAIT will continue to monitor the Government of Alberta’s staged reopening strategy and will make decisions with the guidance of our Recovery and Resumption Committee.
