Baccalaureate credentials are printed in Latin per our credentials policy approved by the SAIT Board of Governors, and a certificate of translation is included with your degree parchment.

The decision was made by the Board to use Latin on parchments because the use of Latin dates back to the emergence of the first universities in Europe in the early second century. For centuries the world’s academics all spoke and wrote Latin. Your degree directly connects you to the long history of academic excellence which laid the foundations for what you learned at SAIT.
