The Universal Transit Pass or UPass program is a partnership initiative between Calgary Transit and participating post-secondary institutions in the city, including SAIT.

This fee is a mandatory non-instructional fee assessed to all students in an eligible program - if you are eligible, the fee will be automatically applied as soon as you register in nine credits per term. Students enrolled in a fully online program may opt-out of this fee. You must opt-out manually by the appropriate deadline for the fee to be reversed. Full details including opt-out instructions and deadlines can be found here.

These fees contribute to the overall campus experience and benefit the majority of SAIT students.

The Upass can be used at any time, including travelling to and from classes, attending campus events and to access student services and facilities, such as the Reg Erhardt Library and Wellness Centre at SAIT. You may also find the UPass helpful if you need to use transit at other times.

Review more details including valid periods, eligibility, price and how to access the UPass here. You can also contact the Card Office with any questions by emailing card.office@sait.ca.
