All post-secondary institutions are required to provide the Canada Revenue Agency with the Social Insurance Number (SIN) from qualifying students for the T2202 Tuition Tax Credit. We will make multiple attempts throughout the year to ensure this information is accurate, including reminders through our Action Item Processing (AIP) tool in mySAIT.

A message to review your SIN will appear once per term when you log in to choose your courses or view your schedule. This will show up for any credit student or apprentice who was enrolled in at least one course during the tax year. Follow the instructions below to complete the required action after logging in to view your schedule or access your student profile through mySAIT.

  1. Select View Action Items in the pop-up found in the top right corner of your screen.
  2. Choose the ACTION REQUIRED message on the left side of your screen to open the next steps.
  3. Select Update your SIN now to ensure we have the appropriate info on your account find the steps to update your SIN here
  4. After confirming the SIN is correct, acknowledge by clicking the radio button and choosing Save
  5. Choose Return to view your schedule or make changes to your classes.
