Ordering and receiving your credential
Your original parchment will be awarded and presented to you during the appropriate convocation ceremony. If you are unable to attend the ceremony, your paper parchment will be sent in the mail. Refer to our parchments page for details.
SAIT will be using MyCreds™️ — Canada’s digital document wallet — to issue credentials and other official documents in a secure digital format. MyCreds™️ is the official online document sharing system of the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC).
Documents issued through MyCreds™️ are certified, official, and can be securely shared with other educational institutions, employers, and other third parties. MyCreds™️ allows you access to your documents and share them as often as you need. More information on this can be found here.
Students who started and completed a non-credit program (certificate of achievement, certificate of completion) prior to July 2020 must submit a Credential Request form directly to the Office of the Registrar. For students in a non-credit program started and completed after July 2020, contact email@example.com at the Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Studies.
The Office of the Registrar will issue a duplicate credential to a graduate:
- whose name has changed*
- whose credential has been lost or damaged*
- who completed a program but who did not receive the credential
Duplicate credentials are produced upon the graduate’s request and upon the graduate paying the applicable fee and completing the necessary documentation.
The form to request a reprint is the Credential Request form
If a name change is required the credential request must be accompanied by a Change Name and/or Address and appropriate documentation as listed on the form.
There is a fee to reprint a credential if requested after two years or more after the graduation date, the fee is $75 (subject to change). If the credential is prior to 1995, the fee is $125.
Graduates can expect to receive their duplicate credentials in approximately 8 weeks from the time the request is processed to allow time for preparing, proofing, printing, packaging, and mailing to a Canadian address. Please allow additional time for US or International deliveries.
In addition to your physical parchment, you will also receive a digital copy of your credential on the MyCreds™️ platform. You will receive an email from MyCreds™️ when it is available — look for this in your personal email address. If we don’t have a personal email address for you, check your SAIT student email. If you’re not sure what email address we have on your student profile, check here.
*Note: In the case of a name change or damaged/destroyed credentials, the old parchment must be returned to the Office of the Registrar before a new one will be issued (if the damaged credential is not in your possession anymore, it is not necessary to provide it but and explanation will be required).
More information can be found in the helpful links below including accessing your digital credential through MyCreds.
