Digital credentials

SAIT will be using MyCreds™️ — Canada’s digital document wallet — to issue credentials and other official documents in a secure digital format. MyCreds™️ is the official online document sharing system of the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC).

Documents issued through MyCreds™️ are certified, official, and can be securely shared with other educational institutions, employers, and other third parties. MyCreds™️ allows you access to your documents and share them as often as you need. More information on this can be found here.

Non-credit programs

Students who started and completed a non-credit program (certificate of achievement, certificate of completion) prior to July 2020 must submit a  Credential Request form directly to the Office of the Registrar. For students in a non-credit program started and completed after July 2020, contact conedadvising@sait.ca at the Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Studies.

Duplicate credentials

The Office of the Registrar will issue a duplicate credential to a graduate:

  1. whose name has changed*
  2. whose credential has been lost or damaged*
  3. who completed a program but who did not receive the credential

Duplicate credentials are produced upon the graduate’s request and upon the graduate paying the applicable fee and completing the necessary documentation.

The form to request a reprint is the Credential Request form

If a name change is required the credential request must be accompanied by a Change Name and/or Address and appropriate documentation as listed on the form.

There is a fee to reprint a credential if requested after two years or more after the graduation date, the fee is $80 (subject to change). If the credential is prior to 1995, the fee is $130.

Graduates can expect to receive their duplicate credentials in approximately 8 weeks from the time the request is processed to allow time for preparing, proofing, printing, packaging, and mailing to a Canadian address. Please allow additional time for US or International deliveries.

In addition to your physical parchment, you will also receive a digital copy of your credential on the MyCreds™️ platform. You will receive an email from MyCreds™️ when it is available look for this in your personal email address. If we don’t have a personal email address for you, check your SAIT student email. If you’re not sure what email address we have on your student profile, check here.

Rush replacement credentials

If you require a replacement right away, you can submit a rush credential replacement request. For $250, you can receive your replacement within 5-10 business days after your request is submitted and payment is received.

Note: Bachelor's degrees are not eligible for a rush request as these need to be specially printed in Latin.

*Note: In the case of a name change or damaged/destroyed credentials, the old parchment must be returned to the Office of the Registrar before a new one will be issued (if the damaged credential is not in your possession anymore, it is not necessary to provide it but and explanation will be required).
