SAIT credentials are issued and awarded on the conferral date. You are eligible to receive one if:

  • You apply to graduate by the appropriate deadline, AND
  • You successfully complete all of your program’s requirements.

Credentials will be handed out during one of our two convocation ceremonies or during one of our designated parchment pick-up periods. Here’s the info you need to get your digital credential and physical parchment.

Digital Credentials

You can access your digital credential and official transcripts electronically on your conferral date. This is offered through MyCreds, the official online document sharing system of the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC).

  • MyCreds will send you an email with further instructions including how to log in.
  • Documents issued through MyCreds are certified, official and secure.
  • Access and share your digital credential as often as you need with other educational institutions, potential employers and other third parties.
  • Your transcripts can be accessed after purchasing one share credit at $20 — you can then download or share your transcripts once and access them wherever and whenever you need to.
  • You will need to purchase additional each time you share them with another employer or educational institution.

Parchment Pick-up Period

If you're unable to attend your convocation ceremony or you graduate in February during the winter conferral date, you can stop by the Office of the Registrar to pick up your physical parchment.

The parchment pick-up period runs for approximately two weeks and begins the week after your conferral date. Before you stop by the office, here's what you need to know.

  • Your credential will only be available for pick-up for two weeks after your conferral date.
  • Any parchments not picked up will be mailed out beginning the end of the following month.
  • We’re unable to provide your digital credential or parchment if you have any holds on your account — review account holds to learn more.
  • You will need a piece of Government-issue picture ID to receive your credential.
  • If someone is picking up for you, they'll need a letter signed by you with their name, your full name and your SAIT ID — they will need to present the letter and show their Government-issue picture ID.
